A Behind-the-Scenes Look at a Slipcover

Now that we’ve started up with our Slipcover sale, Elegant Changes wants to take you on a “behind-the-scenes” tour of a slipcover. That way, we could show you how easy it is to get a custom-fitted slipcover that can be taken on and off in just a few seconds.

First, we want to show you the “before” shot of a chair prior to slipcover. Not too pretty, is it? We found this chair second-hand and knew it had potential. We designed a new slipcover for it in Eddystone velvet Monte Carlo Silver fabric.

This is where we put the Velcro stick on the slipcover. This controls the tightness of the slipcover. It also makes it easy to put on and take it off. For a tailored fit, you close it up, or for shabby chic, just let it hang loose.

This is the slipcover’s tuck line. This also helps control the tightness. When it is tucked in, the slipcover stays on tight and it ensures that the slipcover doesn’t tear when you sit down on it. A tuck line makes sure the slipcover can be mobile when if moves.

And here’s the finished product. A huge difference, don’t you think? We love the Eddystone line of fabrics – they are so soft and luxe! And during our slipcover sale, this line of fabrics is available for your custom order.

The slipcover sale is on now until October 31, 2012. It’s the perfect time to spruce up your furniture for the holidays. Don’t wait – give us a call, send us an email or drop by the store today!
