Ah, Paris in summer… what glorious memories! Even if you’ve never been to this chic city, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the elegant joie de vivre. You can bring Paris style to your outdoor living space this season, without the pricy tickets for airfare and hotel stays. Here are a few tips on how to make your Parisian outdoor living space.

• Nothing says Paris like those quaint cafes that line the streets of this fashionable city. Enjoy your latte (or regular cup of joe) using a bistro set. There are many types available, but for the authentic Paris look, we’d recommend wrought iron or rattan. With seating for two, a bistro set on the patio is the ideal place to start a lazy day off.
• For a more modern, lounge style, you can dress up your patio or deck with full sets of outdoor furniture, including sectionals, love seats, sofas, coffee tables and end tables. We can’t think of a better way to enjoy a martini than under a clear summer sky.
• Serve up drinks in style with an outdoor beverage cart. Made from wrought iron or aluminum, your beverage cart should evoke a 1930s-feel and inspire you to philosophize with artists and writers… or family and friends.
• Comfy lounge chairs are ideal for sipping drinks, reading books and soaking some rays. And it’s this kind of relaxed yet chic ambiance that embodies Paris style. Your lounge chair should be made from teak or wood, and be covered by a plush cushion.
• Forget the run-of-the-mill umbrella – on your Paris-inspired patio, only dramatic will do. A gazebo or a freestanding, offset hanging umbrella adds drama to your outdoor living space, while offering protection from the sun.
